Bailey Does Gor

I paid a visit to the MidWinter Fair, which is running from 20th to 31st December.  It is a Gorean sim, but I didn't exactly dress for occasion thinking that if they want my business, they take me as I am.  Thankfully no one seemed to mind my attire and I spent some time wandering the medieval market.  It is part of the 30L Saturday that occurs every weekend and is aimed at medieval, fae, Gorean roleplayers.  Anyway, I picked up two outfits while I wandered.

The first outfit came from Whatz and is Serendipity in blue.  A bargain at L$30.

The second outfit is not really me, but I am sure I will find a reason to wear it as it is beautiful.  It came from the Gem Designs stall for free and is the Flower Gold Silk.

There is also a mini hunt ongoing...look for the Christmas stockings.

The gorgeous Martine cocktail dress in blue with flexi fringe is the Monday Mania item at SF Design this week.  I already have it in other colours, but couldn't resist another colour as it looks stunning and moves beautifully.

Taxi Driver

Going home after an event in Bar Soho.  Thank heavens London cabbie Tobias is always on hand to get me home safely - and he is very discreet so no need for a super-injunction!

The Bodyguard

Taking refuge behind Tie in Bar Soho when I was feeling a bit overwhelmed by the onslaught of sexual advances from newbies.

Flag Girl

For last night's party at Madame Lala's London Revue, there was a Union Flag theme.  Using the bits and pieces I have been gathering to help me create things to sell in the store I am renting, I came up with this outfit!

Glorious!

A glorious view on a glorious day over the glorious London City sim - and no sign of rain!

Cavorting on the wall above the entry to London Zoo gave me a chance to get a better view - and give an eyeful to the passersby below.  I am sure they were all grateful for me showing off the lovely dress from Rush.  It is currently a freebie at their store and I love it.

London City Launches

The Mainland London sims were set to move to a new private sim on July 1st, but building work on the new sim London City progressed much faster than anyone anticipated.  The new sim is now up and running.  Merchants are moving from the old sims to the new one.  It can support more avatars, is less laggy and offers more opportunities for landscaping.  It is still a work in progress, but things come together with time and use.  Personally my favourite is Comptons pub as I can see how it can be developed in future (and would love to get my hands on it!), but everywhere is fantastic.  Everyone has been really positive and it just feels so much more pleasant.

The main venues are listed below plus there are numerous stores for all your shopping needs.  Stop by and hang out with the London City crew some time.

Demis Does The Conga

Friday night proved to be another excellent party night at Madame Lala's London Revue.  The guest artist was Demis Roussos, who was resplendent in a tie-dye kaftan.

Performing a selection of hits and classic songs, Mr Roussos caused hilarity by leading revellers in a conga!

Though colourful, my gown for the evening was one of the more demure outfits on display.
Gown: Vica (dollarbie) at Camilla's

Everything is very reasonably priced and there are hunts, product camping chairs, lucky chairs, Mini Mania boards and Midnight Mania boards.  The gift cards are always popular on the boards, as are the fatpacks.  There are also $10L Weekend Specials, which are a full outfit.

Red Elegance Gown

One of my favourite gowns - and everyone else's too.  Everytime I wear this gown somewhere I receive compliments.  It looks absolutely stunning and is FREE at Jazmyn D.

Pub Night

Last night (Sunday) I went to Regents Park to watch the moped racing.  After that, there was a celebrity photo quiz in the Star & Garter pub in the West End.  It was quite a miserable night due to the rain(!).  I did okay in the quiz and then we all settled down for film night.  I had a totally fantastic time and can't wait for the next one.

Skin Deep

A good beauty regimen is a must!

Madame Lala's

One of my favourite places to hangout and dance in Second Life.  Madame Lala's London Revue is a fun place for everyone regards of gender or orientation.

Some of the 'performers' I have had the pleasure to witness there are Tina Turner and Tom Jones.

There are themed and special events as well as the guest performers.

The dancing 'girls' are awesome and there is always a great atmosphere.  Madame Lala is truly special too.

Who and why

For the most part, Bailey is a female avatar in the virtual world of Second Life.  Very occasionally Bailey becomes a male avatar, albeit an odd one as I do not change body shape other than flattening down the boobs.

The person behind Bailey is an English gay guy.

So those few short lines take care of the who - on to the why.

I chose to be a female in Second Life as a change.  Bailey is not my first excursion in to Second Life and I have used a number of avatars in the past, usually male ones but some fantasy avatars too such as a dragon.  There is a wide array of avatars available inworld and you can combine bits to create whatever you want.  I suppose I am using Bailey to explore my feminine side and 'play dressing up'.

By being honest about my real life gender and sexual orientation, I have felt liberated.  People read my profile inworld and there are none of the usual "Do you want to have sex?" questions.  I have been asked why I don't just keep quiet about it.  My answer is that I am not ashamed of who I am or how I wish to appear, I am not looking for cybersex nor a relationship and I do not wish to become involved in the lives of others only to turn them upside down after forming a bond.

Many men have female avatars.  Many women have make avatars.  The difference between them and me is that I am prepared to stand up and admit it.  If you don't like, you need never associate with me in any way - it is a big grid.

About Me

My photo
Hi, my name is Bailey and I am an avatar in Second Life. Although my avatar is predominantly female in Second Life, I am a gay male in real life. I choose to be female most of the time and don't see it as a big deal in a virtual world where so many people are furries, werewolves and inanimate objects. It is all fantasy. This blog is about me, the places I go, the clothes I wear, the people I meet, etc.
